Police have named the young biker who died after a serious crash in east Cornwall.

Two men were seriously injured after two motorbikes collided on the A374 near Antony.

James Dickson from Torpoint was airlifted to Derriford on Thursday but, sadly, could not be saved.

The 24-year-old's family have paid an emotional tribute, describing the biker's death as devastating.

A 22-year-old man from the Torpoint area remains in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.

"James Ian Dickson died on Friday 6/9/19 at 1.00pm following a motorbike accident near Antony, Torpoint, Cornwall, the previous day.

"In his early years he enjoyed camping and hiking and it was only when he got his motorbike that he became besotted with his new hobby.

"His death is devastating and he will be missed so very much by his parents, family and friends, but we all take comfort in that he died whilst out riding and enjoying his beloved motorbike.

"Rest in Peace son and enjoy riding in the sky.

"Love and miss you always".

Family Tribute

Police are urging anyone who might have seen something at around 3pm on Thursday to come forward, quoting log 478 of 5th September.
