Teenager arrested after 'stabbing' in Cornish village

A teenage girl has been arrested after an alleged stabbing in Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police say a man suffered knife wounds in Lanner.

Officers were called to reports of an assault on Sunday afternoon, but say the casualty's injuries are not thought to be serious.

A girl was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and has been released on bail until the beginning of next month.

"Police were called at 4.20pm to an address in Lanner yesterday [Sunday 8 September] following reports of an assault.

"The man sustained a number of knife wounds but they are not thought serious.

"A teenage girl was arrested on suspicion of assault GBH with intent.

"She has been released on bail until 3rd October".
