Boardmasters' warning about fake refund account

Boardmasters' warning about fake refund account

Published by Emma Carton at 1:26pm 11th September 2019. (Updated at 1:29pm 11th September 2019)

The organisers of Cornwall's Boardmasters have posted a warning about a fake refund account.

Bosses were forced to cancel last month's music festival at Watergate Bay because of severe weather warnings.

Since then, they say they have been working round-the-clock process refunds for those with official tickets.

Now they have tweeted to warn customers that the account, @RefundSupport, is not real.

Tweet from the REAL account:

Several posts have gone up on the fake account over the last few days, asking customers to contact them with direct queries.

Another, which went up on Wednesday, claims the REAL Boardmasters account is the fake one!

One follower asked if there was any news on next year's festival, to which the bogus page replied "cancelled".
