Pedestrian 'seriously injured' after crash in Camborne

A pedestrian has been airlifted to hospital after a collision in the centre of Camborne.

Police were called to reports of an incident involving a lorry on Moor Street.

They say an elderly woman suffered a serious leg injury that is potentially life-threatening.

The crash happened between Centenary Street and Union Street and the road was closed in both directions. 

"Police are currently in attendance on Moor Street, Camborne, following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry.

"The pedestrian is believed to have sustained serious leg injuries".

Inrix Traffic and Travel is reporting that the road has now re-opened.

"Moor Street has re-opened in both directions, after earlier accident investigation work between B3303 Centenary Street and Union Street".
