Police update on 'serious collision' in Camborne

Police say a pedestrian's injuries after a  collision in Camborne could be life-threatening.

A woman in her 80s was rushed to hospital with a serious leg injury, then airlifted to Derriford.

Emergency services were called to reports of an incident involving a lorry on Thursday morning.

Moor Street remains closed in both directions, between the junctions for Centenary Road and Union Street.

"Police were called at around 10am today (Thursday) to Moor Street, Camborne, following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry.

"A woman in her 80s has sustained a serious leg injury, believed to be potentially life-threatening.

"She has been taken to Derriford hospital.

"Police enquires remain ongoing at this time".
