Pedestrian injured after a collision in Bodmin

Police and paramedics have been scrambled to a collision involving a pedestrian and a car in Bodmin.

Officers have confirmed the casualty suffered a head injury on Dennison Road on Friday morning.

The force says the man had been taken to hospital as a precaution.

"Police and ambulance were called at 9.45am today (13th September) following a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Dennison Road, Bodmin.

"The man sustained a head injury and is being taken to hospital as a precaution".

Devon and Cornwall Police

It happened just before 10am and blocked a stretch of the A389  in both directions.

Inrix Traffic and Travel was reporting slow traffic in the area, but says the incident has now cleared.

"Road cleared and traffic returned to normal, accident cleared on A389 Dennison Road at Chapel Lane.

"The accident happened around 09:45am".
