Armed police descend on street in Camborne

Pirate FM understands armed police have swooped on a street in Camborne after a serious incident in Devon.

Police were called to an address in Ivybridge on Wednesday, after reports a man had suffered knife wounds.

A casualty in his 50s was rushed to hospital with life-changing injuries and remains in a stable condition.

On Friday, officers were scrambled to a separate address in Cornwall and have since made several arrests.

Four people from Camborne are in custody, three of whom are being held on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

"Three men have been arrested following a serious incident at an address at St John's Road in Ivybridge.

"Police were called shortly after 10.30am on Wednesday 11 September following reports that a man in his 50s had sustained a number of knife wounds.

"The man was taken to hospital with life changing injuries where he currently remains in a stable condition.

"A 43-year-old man, a 49-year-old man and a 33-year-old man, all from Camborne, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and are in police custody.

"A 33-year-old woman from Camborne has also been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in police custody".
