Police update after 'serious-injury incident' in Devon

Police have issued an update on the serious incident that led to arrests in Cornwall.

Officers were scrambled to Ivybridge last week, to reports of a man with knife wounds.

The casualty, who is in his 50s, suffered life-changing injuries and remains in hospital.

Three men from Camborne, questioned on suspicion of aggravated burglary, have been released on bail.

"Three men have been arrested following a serious incident at an address at St John's Road in Ivybridge.

"Police were called shortly after 10.30am on Wednesday 11th September, following reports that a man in his 50s had sustained a number of knife wounds.

"The victim sustained life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital; he remains in a serious condition.

"Two men, aged 49 and 33 and a 33-year-old woman, all from Camborne, have been released on police bail Tuesday until 8th October. 

"A 43-year-old man, also from Camborne, has been released under investigation pending further enquiries".
