Ambulance 'in hedge' after crash in Hayle

An ambulance has been involved in a crash in Hayle.

An eyewitness has told Pirate FM the emergency vehicle ended up in a hedge.

Madison Terrace was left closed in both directions on Tuesday morning.

There was queuing traffic in the area and it is understood that the paramedics in the vehicle were helping to direct drivers.

No one is believed to have been injured in the collision and the road has now reopened.

"Madison Terrace in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident between Brookway and Lethlean Lane.

"Surrounding roads around Hayle are extremely congested as a result."

South Western Ambulance Service Trust has confirmed that an ambulance was involved in a road traffic collision and all third parties and staff are uninjured.

There is currently a Paramedic Operations Officer on the scene assisting.
