This is the moment a car ended up almost on its side down a narrow lane in Cornwall.

The driver reportedly told Bodmin Police they did not see the vehicle they were trying to pass until it was too late.

They claimed to have been blinded by the sun.

Officers have shared the photo as a warning, urging other road users to slow down with enough time and space to avoid obstacles.

"The Highway Code states: Drive at a speed that will allow you to stop well within the distance you can see to be clear.

"The driver of one of these vehicles claimed to be blinded by the setting sun, so didn't see the other vehicle till too late.

"Can you guess which one is which?!

"If you can't see very well... slow down or stop if required.

"Don't keep going and hope for the best!"
