Thefts from charity collections on the Cornish coast

Police are investigating a string of thefts from National Trust collections in Cornwall.

Officers say money has been stolen from cairns along the north coast.

Incidents have been reported from Pentire to Port Quin.

The rural crime team is urging anyone who has spotted anything suspicious to call police.

"Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating reports of several thefts of cash from National Trust donation Cairns in the Pentire to Port Quin area. 

"The rural crime team would ask all to be vigilant to suspicious vehicles or individuals. 

"Anyone able to offer information regarding this incident is asked to email 101@dc.police.uk call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting CR/082836/19. 

"Thank you".
