"Initially one crew from Tresco were mobilised to the incident.

"Upon leaving the fire station, crews reported a smell of smoke in the area and crews from St Mary's and Bryher were immediately mobilised and the incident upgraded to Fire - Residential.

"South Western Ambulance Service and Devon and Cornwall Police were also notified.

"On arrival crews located an oven which had been left on and overheated.

"Crews checked the building and allowed residents to return".
