Two young men injured after late-night assault

Two young men have been left injured after a late-night assault in Camborne.

Police say they were approached by a group of people on Chapel Street on Friday night.

Both were then punched in the head and face before the group fled the scene.

Officers found the victims in Gurney's Lane before being taken to hospital.

One had been knocked unconscious and the other had a bloodied nose.

Anyone who saw what happened at around 11.45pm or has any information is asked to come forward.

"Police are investigating an assault on two men in Camborne on Friday evening [20th September].

"Two men were walking through Chapel Street around 11.45pm when they were approached by a group of four or five people. 

"Following an altercation, a man from the group punched both victims in the head/face. The group then made off.

"On arrival police found the two men injured in Gurney's Lane.

"One man, aged 20 and from Camborne, had been knocked unconscious.

"The second man, aged 18, had sustained a bloodied nose.

"Both victims were taken to Treliske Hospital."

Police are appealing for witnesses and asking for anyone with information to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting crime reference CR/085603/19.
