Biker injured after a head-on crash in Cornwall

Police confirm a biker has been injured after a head-on crash in mid-Cornwall.

His motorbike and a car were caught in the collision near Castle an Dinas, St Columb Major.

Firefighters and paramedics were also scrambled first thing on Tuesday morning.

The male rider was treated at the scene after suffering injuries to his arm and leg.

Police say the road was closed for a couple of hours but has since reopened.

"Police, fire and ambulance were called at 5.35am today (24th September) following a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle near Providence Farm, Castle an Dinas.

"The male motorcyclist sustained an arm and leg injury and has been treated by paramedics.

"The road was closed but re-opened around 8am".
