Three vehicles crash on A39 near Truro

Three cars have crashed on the A39 near Truro.

The vehicles collided in the Playing Place area during the Tuesday afternoon rush hour and the road was left blocked.

Police have confirmed that one person suffered a minor injury.

There was queuing traffic in the area and it was affecting anyone travelling between Truro and Penryn.

All the vehicles have now been recovered and traffic is returning to normal.

"Slow traffic due to earlier accident, three vehicles involved on A39 in both directions from Holywell Road (Playing Place) to Mill Lane (Calenick).

"All lanes have been re-opened.

"All three vehicles have been recovered. Affecting traffic between Truro and Penryn."
