Tail end of Hurricane Humberto to bring more bad weather?

The Met Office predicts more bad weather as the tail end of Hurricane Humberto sweeps the UK.

Heavy rain and strong winds are expected to lash Cornwall over the next few days.

It looks like the worst of the wet and windy weather will arrive in the south-west from Thursday onwards.

There are no official weather warnings in force for the rest of the week but it is looking pretty unsettled.

You can track the band of bad weather sweeping in from the Atlantic below.

What is the full forecast?

Today: "Skies will be on the cloudy side today with scattered showers. Some brighter spells are possible in the east during the afternoon and it will feel pleasant in any sunshine".

Tonight: "Low cloud will spread in during the evening with mist and murk around coasts and hills. Outbreaks of rain will arrive overnight with some heavy bursts in places".

Thursday: "Persistent rain should clear by dawn, leaving bright spells and scattered showers for the rest of the day. Showers will move through quickly on a brisk wind".

Outlook for Friday to Sunday: "Sunny spells and scattered showers on Friday and Saturday. A spell of more persistent rain overnight on Saturday with frequent heavy showers on Sunday. Windy, particularly on Sunday".
