Fire crews rush to bungalow blaze in Liskeard

Firefighters from two Cornish towns have rushed to a bungalow blaze in Liskeard.

Crews from the town and Looe say the fire broke out in a bedroom at Caradon Heights.

They got the call just after 7.30pm on Wednesday, but there are no reports of any injuries.

"At 19:29 this evening the Critical Control received an emergency call regarding a residential fire.

"One appliance from Liskeard and an appliance from Looe were mobilised to the incident. 

"On arrival crew discovered one bungalow, approx. 15 by 5m, with a small fire inside a bedroom.

"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one safety jet to extinguish the fire".
