Man airlifted to hospital after A30 'lorry collision'

Police have confirmed a man was airlifted to hospital after reports of a collision with a lorry on the A30.

Officers say the casualty suffered an arm injury after the incident near Bodmin.

It is believed he was changing a tyre in a layby on Wednesday evening.

It happened just past the slip road at Carminnow Cross and the road was closed for several hours.

"Police were called at around 7.30pm last night to reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian, thought to be changing a tyre on a layby on the A30 at Bodmin.

"The air ambulance attended the scene and the male pedestrian was taken to Derriford hospital with an arm injury."

"The road was shut until 9pm".

Anyone who saw what happened is being urged to contact police on 101, quoting log 772 of 25th September.
