Woman arrested following serious crash near Liskeard

A woman has been arrested following a crash near Liskeard that left a passenger with life-changing injuries.

Police say one vehicle, a VW Golf, was involved at Tremar on Sunday evening.

The casualty was rushed to Derriford Hospital with a serious head injury that officers have described as life-changing.

A full investigation of the scene was carried out and officers have been working out what caused the collision.

Now they have confirmed that a woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drink or drugs.

The 32-year-old has been released under investigation.

Anyone who saw what happened between 6.30pm and 7pm on the 15th September is being urged to come forward.

"A 32-year old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drink or drugs.

"She has been released under investigation pending further enquiry."
