Casualty cut free after crash in Penzance

A casualty has been cut free after a crash in Penzance.

Two cars were involved on Lescudjack Road just after 2.30pm on Friday afternoon.

Paramedics, firefighters and police were all called to the scene.

One person was rescued from a vehicle and the area was made safe by fire crews.

"Two appliances from Penzance attended a call to a two vehicle road traffic collision. 

"On crews arrival they confirmed one person as medically trapped in one vehicle. 

"Firefighters stabilised the vehicle, on arrival of ambulance paramedics and police the casualty was released from the vehicle. 

"Firefighters then made the scene safe using small gear."
