Update 1430hrs: "The barn measures approx 50 metres by 30 metres, containing grain and about 700 bales of straw and hay. Hazards are being removed to prevent them becoming involved.

A stretch of the A3075 was closed and drivers were urged to be aware.

There was very slow traffic in the area but officials have now confirmed that the stretch has reopened.

"Traffic easing, off road fire on A3075 in both directions between A392 Trevemper Road (Newquay) and High Lanes (Rejerrah).

"Although smoke is still blowing in the area, sensors suggest most delays in the area have now cleared."
