Rush hour crash blocks busy road near Camborne

There was rush hour chaos in west Cornwall after two cars crashed.

The vehicles collided in Tuckingmill, between Pool and Camborne, just after 4pm.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene on the A3047 and there were reports of minor injuries.

The road was left partially blocked on Wednesday afternoon because of recovery work.

Drivers have reported being stuck in traffic for around 30 minutes because of the collision.

"Police were called at around 4:10pm with reports of a collision on the A3047 in Tuckingmill, Cornwall. 

"The collision was between two Nissan's, road is partially blocked whilst both vehicles are being recovered; only minor injuries reported."

The road reopened at around 5.40pm.

"One appliance from Truro Fire Station and the Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon Fire Station were mobilised to this incident. 

"The incident involved one delivery lorry and one car, there were no persons trapped. 

"The Police and Ambulance were also in attendance. The crew made the vehicles and scene safe."
