Delays for drivers on Cornwall's A38 Liskeard bypass

Delays for drivers on Cornwall's A38 Liskeard bypass

Published by Sarah Yeoman at 1:51pm 4th October 2019.

Drivers in Cornwall are being warned about delays on the A38 Liskeard bypass.

Highways England says the westbound direction is affected between Liskeard and Trerulefoot on Friday.

It comes after overnight maintenance work was not completed and so only one lane is in use.

The work is due to be completed overnight on Friday but people are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.

"Overnight essential maintenance work on the westbound carriageway was not completed due to circumstances beyond our control, resulting a 1 kilometre stretch of the bypass being restricted to one lane throughout the day.

"The roadworks will be completed overnight tonight.

"Drivers wishing to travel in the area are advised to plan ahead and leave extra time as delays are expected throughout the day, particularly Friday's morning and evening rush hours."
