Woman arrested after rush hour crash near Camborne

A woman has been arrested after a rush hour crash near Camborne.

The collision happened at Tuckingmill just after 4pm last Wednesday afternoon.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene on the A3047 and there were reports of minor injuries.

The road was left partially blocked and it caused traffic trouble for drivers on their way home.

Now officers have confirmed that a 53-year-old woman from Truro was arrested and later released under investigation.

"Police were called at around 4.10pm with reports of a collision on the A3047 in Tuckingmill. The collision involved a Nissan. 

"Police have arrested a 53-year-old woman from Truro on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol, and possession of a class A, and a Class B Drug. 

"She has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
