Fresh appeal after crash leaves man seriously injured

Fresh appeal after crash leaves man seriously injured

Published by Sarah Yeoman at 5:44am 9th October 2019.

A crash in a Cornish village that left a young man seriously injured has sparked a fresh appeal.

The 29-year-old driver, from the Truro area, remains in hospital with back injuries but he's in a stable condition.

It is after a car overturned on the B3287 in Tregony, near the Roseland, last Thursday afternoon.

Police now think a second vehicle may have been involved in the collision - a dark-coloured Range Rover or Land Rover.

Anyone who saw what happened is being urged to contact officers, along with the occupants of a white family-style car that was in the area at the time.

"Police have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses following a road traffic collision near Tregony on Thursday 3 October in which a man was seriously injured.

"Emergency services were called at 2pm after a black Audi A3 overturned on the B3287 near to the Creed junction.

"The driver, a 29-year-old man from the Truro area, sustained serious back injuries. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

"Police are investigating a line of enquiry that a second vehicle - a dark-coloured Range Rover or Land Rover - could have been involved in the incident and are appealing for information.

"Officers are also particularly keen to speak with the occupants of a white family-style hatchback car that may have been on the B3287 at the time and may have seen the black Audi travelling towards Tregony."
