Woman suffers potentially serious injuries in crash

A woman has suffered potentially serious injuries after a crash in Wadebridge.

Two cars collided on the B3314 just before 7am on Friday morning.

The casualty had to be cut free from a vehicle by firefighters and she has been taken to hospital.

The road at Trewornan Bridge is currently closed in both directions.

"Emergency services are in attendance at the B3314 following reports of a two vehicle collision.

"One woman has been extracted from a vehicle by the fire service and has been taken to Treliske hospital. She is thought to have sustained possibly serious injuries.

"Recovery is taking place at the moment."

Devon and Cornwall Police

Recovery work is underway but traffic is said to be coping well.

"B3314 in both directions closed due to accident, two vehicles involved at Trewornan Bridge. Traffic is coping well.

"The accident happened around 06:55."
