A tiny kitten has been rescued by firefighters in Cornwall after getting stuck in a stud wall.

Crews from St Austell were scrambled over the weekend, to find the little lady squashed in.

Her owner called for help after the pet found a gap behind the toilet and disappeared.

Firefighters say they managed to free the miracle moggy after a bit of game of hide-and-seek!

"Sometimes, it's just nice to share with you a more lighthearted/less serious side to our job (especially when this one was so blimmin cute!!)

"Yesterday Green Watch popped out to help the owner who believed her kitten had found a gap behind the toilet and disappeared somewhere in the walls.

"After a game of hide-and-seek, we located this little lady completely squashed in and unable to move in a stud wall.

"We quickly set about making a mess of the place (with the owner's permission obviously) to gain access, then carefully remove her from harms way.

"A quick dust off and she was back in the care of her owner!
