This was the scene after a car got wedged down a narrow lane in St Ives.

Homes have been left damaged after the vehicle reportedly slid down the road and crashed into buildings.

Locals in the area reported that two cottages suffered damage and the walls 'bowed inside'.

It is believed that the owners parked at the top of the lane and then later found that the vehicle had slid down the road and crashed.

Another resident in the area posted on Facebook that the car had cracked the wall between the houses and broken a front door.

They think the back of the vehicle may 'have to be cut off' to remove it, because it is wedged so tightly.
