Police appeal for passengers of double-decker bus crash to come forward

Police have released a fresh appeal for witnesses after a double-decker bus crash in Devon.

37 people were hurt and eight were left seriously injured after the vehicle overturned.

A "major incident" was declared with over 100 emergency service workers on the scene.

It happened the A385 Totnes Road on Saturday 5th October with police, paramedics, firefighters and the air ambulance were all called.

Now officers are asking those who were on the bus at the time and left before speaking to police to come forward.

"We believe that there were around 60 people on board the bus at the time of the incident, many were uninjured and had left the scene before speaking to our officers.

"We are keen to speak with a number of occupants from the bus who have been identified from CCTV leaving the scene.

Officers and ambulance crews praised their staff for their work during the horror crash.

Stagecoach said they are supporting officers with the investigation and its thoughts go out to all those involved.
