A second man has died, nearly a month later, after a serious crash near Launceston.

Two cars collided on the A395 between Hallworthy and Pipers Pool on Friday 27th September.

Police and paramedics were called but sadly one driver sadly died at the scene.

The other was airlifted to Derriford with life-threatening injuries.

Tragically, it has now been confirmed that the 73-year-old passed away in hospital on Friday 18th October.

"It is with great sadness that the partner and family of Dr Peter Bavister have to announce that he passed away on the 18th October due to injuries sustained in a road traffic accident on the 27th September.

"They would like to extend their thanks to all the Emergency Services and Medical staff at Derriford Hospital for their outstanding care".
