'Deep clean' after sickness strikes holiday park

A Cornish holiday park struck by a sickness outbreak, later confirmed to be norovirus is due to reopen.

Pirate FM told you how around 30 children and eight adults fell ill at Mullion last week.

One mum revealed how her little girl was being sick 'every ten minutes'.

Now the site has confirmed that a full professional deep clean took place over the weekend.

In a statement given to Pirate FM, bosses added that health officials were 'happy' for them to reopen on Monday 28th October.

"The park is reopening today (Monday 28th October.

"We took the decision ourselves to close temporarily, as a precaution

"The park has received a full professional clean over the weekend

"The authorities are happy for us to reopen".

Mullion Holiday Park

Public Health England added that it had no further update, but that it understood the park was reopening after a deep clean.
