WATCH: Massive Tree Crashes Across Cornish Road

The moment a giant tree came crashing across one of Cornwall's busiest roads has been caught on camera.

The A39 between Falmouth and Truro was closed for around four hours on Tuesday.

It is after the storms left one of the roadside trees unstable - prompting a big operation by Cornwall Council.

The authority decided to fell the tree - and clear the debris - locking them in a race against time to have the route clear for rush hour.

It has now thanked drivers for their "patience" after diversionary routes bore the brunt of the traffic across lunchtime.
