General election before Christmas gets go ahead

There will (almost certainly) be a general election before Christmas.

MPs have backed Boris Johnson's FOURTH bid for a national vote, by 438 to 20.

It still needs to go through the House of Lords, but they are unlikely to say no.

The decision follows a night of bills and amendments in the House of Commons.

One was calling to change the date to the 9th of December, but that was rejected.

The actual date of the general election will be December the 12th, providing the Lords approve it.

One thing we know for sure is that Cornwall will have at least one new MP by the end of the process.
