Landslip on one of the back roads near Looe

One of the back roads near Looe has been closed, after a landslip and mudslide.

Pirate FM understands the incident has happened on the B3254 near Sandplace.

Police say a tree has crashed onto a car, but there are no reports of any injuries.

"Police were notified at around 8.30am to reports of a tree down at Sandplace in Looe.

"The road has been closed by Highways and it appears that a tree has come down onto a car. 

"No injuries have been reported".

Devon and Cornwall Police

Inrix Traffic and Travel says the road was shut between the junction for the A387 and Duloe Primary School, but has since reopened.
