Pirate Christmas is BACK over the airwaves of Cornwall

Pirate Christmas is BACK over the airwaves of Cornwall

Published by Emma Carton at 8:15am 1st November 2019. (Updated at 4:37pm 1st November 2019)

Last Christmas we gave you non-stop Christmas songs... now Pirate Christmas is back!

We are officially relaunching launching Pirate Christmas for 2019!

It means you can now listen to your favourite festive tunes 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

And it is available on-air across the Duchy now - on DAB, online, via the Pirate FM app and on smart speaker.

Pirate Christmas features songs from the likes of Slade, Wizzard and Wham! amongst others.

There are no extensive ad breaks and no presenters - so Pirate Christmas promises to be the soundtrack to the festive season in the Duchy

Speaking ahead of last year's launch, MD Mark Peters called it a welcome addition to the Pirate FM family!

"This is another new radio station joining the Pirate family, just in time for Christmas. It joins Pirate 70s, Pirate 80s and, of course, Pirate FM.

"The latest independent audience research shows that one in three adults in our area listens to Pirate FM every week - and that's before you add in these spin off services.

"We're investing in and expanding our products here in Cornwall."

Managing Director Mark Peters

Great news - if you wish it could be Christmas every day!

How can I listen to it?

Listeners who want to access Pirate Christmas can tap the menu button on the Pirate FM app and select "Stations".

Just visit the Pirate Christmas website or enable the skill on Amazon Echo.

It is also available on DAB, although some users may need to rescan their radio to find it.

It is available from Friday 1st November 2019.
