In a statement, Cornwall Council confirmed that inspectors would be checking to make sure the land is stable.

"The landslide happened on private land in a private parking place adjacent to the main A387, Sandplace Road.

"However, the debris had moved an unoccupied car into the edge of the road.

"Our team spoke to the owner of the car and assisted the police with traffic control while the car was removed.

"The road is now clear and open. Our team will also be coming out to inspect the area, particularly the adjacent trees, for safety".
