Wall in front of a house collapses after landslide

This is the scene on a quiet residential street in Bodmin, following a landslide.

A wall in front of a house has collapsed into the road on Castle Street.

The area has had to be cordoned off by police.

A flood warning has been issued for other areas of the town, as torrential rain hits Cornwall: Read more.

"Castle Street in both directions closed due to landslip from Cross Lane to Old Callywith Road. Traffic is coping well.

"A wall has collapsed".

The Met Office weather warning for torrential rain will remain in force until 23.59pm on Saturday.

Another, for gales of up to 80mph, has been stood down.

Fallen trees and flash flooding have closed and blocked roads, including stretches of the A30 and the A38.
