Swan strolls onto ferry slipway in Cornwall

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 8:20am 8th November 2019. (Updated at 2:37pm 8th November 2019)

This was the reason for delays on Cornwall's King Harry Ferry - not the weather, but a swan!

The bird wandered onto the slipway on the Trelissick side on Thursday afternoon.

Staff had to pause the crossings, causing around five minute delays.

Luckily, the Fal River Crossing team managed to catch the creature and the delays didn't last long!

"King Harry Ferry: There is approximately a 5 minute delay to sailings due to an obstruction on the slipway.

"Our ops team are working hard to rectify the situation and get the ferry back up and running to normal timetable asap".
