There were reports of flash flooding across west Cornwall on Wednesday night, after the downpours.

Chris Stuart's daughter filmed this footage through the village Gunwalloe, showing water streaming down the street.

He shared the video on social media as a warning to other drivers...

It seems that Cornwall escaped the worst of the bad weather, with major problems being reported up country.

Severe flood warnings have been issued for parts of South Yorkshire on Friday.

People are being urged to leave their homes, after half the rainfall for November came down in a matter of hours.

Hundreds of shoppers and staff were stranded at Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield, overnight on Thursday.
