Woman 'falls from window' in Redruth

A woman has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries after falling from a window in Redruth.

Emergency services were called amid concerns for a person's welfare.

The incident happened at around 2pm on Tuesday afternoon.

Police, paramedics and an air ambulance were all called to the scene in the town centre.

The woman was rushed to Derriford Hospital.

"Police were assisting with an incident at around 2pm in Redruth following reports of a concern of welfare of a woman who had fallen from a window.

"The ambulance were in attendance and the woman was taken to Derriford Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

"Her next of kin are aware."

"South Western Ambulance Service was called at 2.50pm to attend an incident at a private address in Redruth town centre. 

"We sent a land ambulance, an air ambulance and a senior paramedic to attend the incident."
