Car 'collides with property' in Camborne

A car has collided with a property on a busy road through Camborne.

Police and paramedics were called to Commercial Street at around 12.50pm on Wednesday.

A man has been taken to Treliske hospital for further treatment, in what is described as a critical condition.

An air ambulance was also called to the scene and Pirate FM understands the vehicle hit Tyacks Hotel.

No one else is believed to have been hurt.

Road closures were put in place and officers have confirmed that it has now reopened.

"Emergency services have been called to Commercial Street in Camborne following reports a vehicle had collided with a property at around 12.50pm. 

"Police and paramedics are currently on the scene and the incident is ongoing. Details of any injuries are not known at this time. 

"Road closures are in place in Church Street and Basset Street. Trellowarren Street is currently one-way."

"SWASFT was called to Camborne after a road traffic collision at just before 1pm (12.47).  

"We sent several resources to the scene including the air ambulance.  

"One male patient has been treated by paramedics at the scene and taken onto hospital for further treatment by land ambulance."
