Heartfelt tributes are being paid to the young driver who died after a crash in Plymouth.

Shane Hedges lost his life after the collision on North Prospect Road.

He was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Sunday, but could not be saved.

The 25-year-old's family say he was an "overall great guy" who will be missed dearly.

"In loving memory of our son, brother, and overall great guy. We will miss you dearly and never forget you".

The family of a young driver who died after a crash in Plymouth have paid tribute, describing Shane Hedges as an "overall great guy"


Devon and Cornwall Police are urging anyone who saw something at around 1.40am to come forward.

"A 25-year-old man who died following a single-vehicle collision in Plymouth on Sunday (10th November) has been named as Shane Hedges.

"Emergency services were called at around 1.40am to the collision involving a red Ford C-Max at the junction of Ferndale Road and North Prospect Road.

"Shane, from Plymouth, was taken to Derriford Hospital where, sadly, he was pronounced deceased.

"No other vehicles are thought to have been involved and officers are working to establish the cause of the collision.

"Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the car in the Ferndale Road area at the time of the incident".
