'Serious coach crash' shuts road to Cornish peninsula

A crash near a Cornish peninsula is being described as serious.

Police had reports of a coach carrying children hitting a wall near Tregony.

Emergency services are at the scene on the A3078, which is closed in both directions.

Officers have since confirmed that a driver has been airlifted to hospital and two passengers are injured.

"A3078 in both directions closed due to serious accident. A coach involved between B3287, Tregony Hill, and the Portloe turn-off.

"The road remains closed just south of Tregony following the accident which happened at around 08:30am".
