Merry Christmas... from the Bude Tunnel

Merry Christmas... from the Bude Tunnel

Published by Sarah Yeoman at 2:18pm 19th November 2019.

A top tourist attraction in north Cornwall has launched its very own collection of Christmas cards.

The Bude Tunnel is still listed as the town's top tourist attraction on TripAdvisor, notching up over 700 reviews.

When you search the site for Bude, the famous walkway outside Sainsbury's still comes out on top, just ahead of Bude Sea Pool.

It shot to fame last year and, at one point, was proving so popular, TripAdvisor temporarily suspended reviews.

It was even given a special makeover last Christmas, with 30,000 LED lights!

Now the tourist hot spot has launched its own Christmas card collection, to help raise money for the Bude Sea Pool.

"What better way to celebrate Budes iconic tourist attraction and Christmas by sending one of these amusing cards to your family and friends!

"The first print run of cards will be available from Adam in Bellinis from the 12th of November so get your order in early to avoid disappointment!

"Bellinins can be found in Bude at 24 Queen Street, Cornwall, EX23 8BB.

"You can make your order by contacting me through the facebook page, let me know how many cards you want and I will send you an invoice via email from barryfrombude@gmail.com to pay online.

"Alternatively you can contact me at barryfrombude@gmail.com

"A number of the cards will be available to buy directly in Bude, including from the Bude Sea Pool Shop."

For every pack sold £3.75 will be donated to the Bude Sea Pool.

The lido is described as 'a semi-natural amenity that has provided a haven for free and safe bathing and other water-based activities since the 1930s'.

Access to Bude Sea Pool is unrestricted and free of any admission charge, although it costs over £40,000 every year to keep it open and safe.

Almost 50,000 people visit Bude Sea Pool every year, making it a top visitor attraction in Bude.

It is managed by the Friends of Bude Sea Pool (FoBSP), a local charity that aims to preserve, improve and enhance Bude Sea Pool as a free amenity for the benefit of the community and the thousands of people who visit the town every year.

The FoBSP receives no public funding, so they rely on support and donations to keep Bude Sea Pool going.
