Police seize a "very large" quantity of drugs in Penzance

This is a "small sample" of a big haul of drugs that were seized by police in Penzance.

Officers say they found a "very large" amount at an address in Alverton Road on Monday evening.

Tins and bags containing canabis were found, along with a hunter knife and taser.

Two men and a woman were arrested at the scene and have since been released under investigation.

"Police conducted a Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Alverton Road, Penzance, yesterday lunchtime [18th November].

"A number of tins and bags containing suspected cannabis were located, along with a Hunter Knife and a Taser.

"Two men, both aged 20 and from Penzance, were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply.

"One of the men was further arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in public and a prohibited weapon [Taser].

"An 18-year-old woman, also from Penzance, was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting two officers and obstructing police during the search.

"All three have been released under investigation pending further enquiries".
