Toddler rescued after getting locked inside car

A toddler has been rescued by firefighters after getting locked inside a car in Newquay.

The 18-month-old's mum called emergency crews just before 11am on Wednesday morning.

The team managed to break into the car without causing any damage and free the little girl.

The tot was unharmed and even had her photo taken with her rescuers.

"A busy shift with numerous rescues including releasing this happy little lady from a locked car. 

"Professional work by the crew meant no harm was done to the vehicle. Thanks for all the smiles Talia - Belle."

"One appliance from Newquay Community Fire Station was mobilised to a call from a mother whose 18 month old child was locked in her car. 

"The crew used car breaking-in kit to successfully release the child into the care of her mother."
