Gas and electric supplies have been isolated and firefighters from three towns are on the scene.

They are using jets to put the blaze out and a fire investigation will be carried out.

"Two fire appliances from Tavistock and one from Yelverton were assigned to a domestic property fire in Tavistock following numerous calls from members of the public stating that an out building attached to a property had smoke issuing.

"Crews used four breathing apparatus, two covering jets, two thermal imaging cameras, a triple extension ladder and small tools to check and ventilate the property. All persons have been accounted for.

"The British Red Cross were also requested and will providing support for the residents of the property.

"A fire investigation officer remains on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
