A driver has been caught travelling from London to Liskeard, just to have an MOT.

Police say they were heading for a mate's garage to avoid 'being ripped off'.

Officers have posted a warning on Twitter, saying the vehicle had no tax or insurance either.

It's deffo not okay to drive from London to Liskeard for an MOT at a friend's garage just so you don't get ripped off!

"That's approx 255 miles. I'm pretty sure there's thousands of garages in between.

"No insurance or tax as well".
