'Suspicious person' trying doors at night in Cornish village

A warning has gone out to a Cornish village about a 'suspicious person' trying people's doors at night.

Police say there were several reports in Carnon Downs at around 11pm on Monday night.

It happened in the Old Carnon Hill area where a number of residents said someone had tried to get into their homes.

Anyone who experiences anything suspicious in asked to contact officers.

"Police would like you to be aware of the following suspicious circumstances in your local area of Carnon Downs.

"In the Old Carnon Hill area several reports were received from residents of someone trying property doors during the hours of darkness.

"The incident took place at 23:00 on Monday 25th November 2019 along Old Carnon Hill."
