Multi-vehicle pile-up on the A30 in Cornwall

There are reports of a multi-vehicle crash on Cornwall's A30.

Traffic and travel service, Inrix, said six vehicles were caught in the collision near Mitchell.

However it has since been confirmed that the incident happened westbound near Indian Queens.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed paramedics were also called and one person is injured.

"We were notified at around 8.20am to the A30 to reports of a collision involving six vehicles.

"The ambulance was called for one occupant of a vehicle. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"Cars have been recovered from the live lane".

The road was blocked following the collision just before 8.30am on Wednesday, but the vehicles have since been moved.

"Slow traffic due to earlier accident on A30 westbound before A39 (Indian Queens).

"All lanes have been re-opened.

"Police arrived on scene and managed to move vehicles involved to a safe location.

"Initially reported near Mitchell however confirmed upon arrival that the accident was at Indian Queens.

"Some residual delays remain".
